Review| Rimmel match perfection foundation, stay matt pressed powder and hide the blemish concealer

After seeing these products were on offer in savers a couple of weeks ago, I decided to go ahead and buy them as i needed a new makeup base routine as during the spring/summer months my skin goes from combination to oily and my current base makeup wasn't matt enough.

First off, the Rimmel Match perfection Foundation which Can be brought here. This has a medium coverage, which is good as it didn't appear cakey like cheaper brands. I think this matched my skin perfectly and made it appear much brighter. This didn't cover my freckles, which for me isn't a problem, but for others this might be. This did cover my redness well though, considering i didn't use any colour correctors underneath. I liked the packaging as the glass bottle has quite an expensive feel to it. I do however, think it would of been better if you could actually see how much product was left as nothings worse than un-expectantly running out of foundation.

Next the hide the blemish concealer by Rimmel. This costs £4.49 from Superdrug. This is basically your bog standard concealer. You have to be careful with how much you put on (less is definitely more). For me, the only thing that stood out was that it actually matched my skin tone. This isn't the worse concealer you can buy but it definitely isn't the best either. It's just average.

And lastly, the stay matte pressed powder by Rimmel. This cost £3.99 from Superdrug. At first I liked this as it blended well and gave me the matte effect that is so hard with my combination/oily skin but then i realised it was giving me dry patches and making my skin flake off and I soon went off it.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think? Feel free to comment below:)

Review: Derma V10 Coconut Body Butter

This coconut body butter can be brought from Amazon for £1.19  here. I think it's great considering the cheap price as it makes your skin glow and the yummy coconut smell lasts relatively long, which is something I don't tend to notice with moisturisers. As it is thick in texture, i find that it lasts long. The fact that it is in a tub is great as you can physically see what amount of product is left. The downside to it being in a tub though, is that if you have long nails it will get stuck under them. All in all, i think this is great if you have dry skin but are on a bit of a budget.

Welcome to my little blog

Hello :)

My names Danielle or Ellie for short. Never liked the usual "Danni" because my dad's name is Danny and as much as I love him, its weird having the same name as your dad, especially as he's male and I'm female.

I found out about Zoella and Sprinkle of glitter on YouTube a few months back and after watching their videos and reading their blogs I finally plucked up the courage to make my own blog. I can't promise it will be anything special, just that it will be special to me.

I chose the URL  ohstarfalldownonmex,  as it is a lyric from a Paramore song but mostly because i feel that It's finally time for my luck to change. Like this blog might be the start of something new, like maybe a more confident me?

I plan on writing about hair, beauty and lifestyle but mostly hair as that is what i'm the most interested about. I look forward to meeting new people and cant wait to read everyone else's blogs:)

love,
Ellie:)
